VAG owners: easy & cheap AUX-input!

Featured Replies

Hello there.

Many of us have bought a "aux input cable" from ebay, willing to use an external audio source. As everyone knows these blaupunkt adapters don't work with skoda/vw/audi-players.

I was one of them who "cheated" to buy aux input cable for skoda. This is just a cable with 3.5mm jack and 8-pin mini-iso (blue housing) on the other end. This doesn't WORK by itself.

It needs a pcb with microcontroller and some other components, also some wires for transferring the cd-chancer data to HU, +12v gnd.

I contacted conofrei, which seems to be specialized on VAG adapters. From now on he sells this pcb with all the components for 17€!! (inc.3 wires for chancer data)

PCB with components and pins - Electronics - PCB complete with components - CD Changer Emulator - (Powered by CubeCart)

All this WITHOUT "aux input cable, which is very cheap also.

EDIT: ONLY AVAILABLE ON REQUEST.

There is also complete kits for VAG players (38€ for Symphony CD), check the netstore...

Sorry i forgot to mention, this goes only for 1.gen fabia, octavia and superb. Players in these cars doesn't allow direct aux input, it has to be opened via cd-chancer. So this is actually an cd-chancer emulator.

I dont know but does these 2.gen skoda players have aux-input selection in the menus?

you could try pressing the cd button three times (one for in dash cd player, second for multi disc and third should take you to aux) iirc.

You could try paying the site to advertise on it?

You could try reading my original post one more time, and think the differences between advertising and normal forum-chit-chat?

Yea i know i could cut some info and just give the link to the website, but so what. I think this is a valuable information and needed to be shared, i dont know others but i spent a lot of time by searching answers and thinking what the h*ll to do w my vag-player..
