Front washer jets

Featured Replies

The only things that happened were the drivers side washer jet nozzle degrading (I'm guessing the water in the nozzle froze and damaged it), but I changed them both at the weekend for the sum of £3.50 so solved.!

Hi Bodge, where did you get the washer jet nozzle from as I think I need a rear one?

Cheers

I just ordered a rear one, I'll get you the part number tomorrow when I pick it up if you like, it's about £7 and comes with the pipe but you can just whip the nozzle off and replace that.

Got mine from my local Skoda garage. Very easy to change if you keep hold of the hose (don't let it drop into the scuttle area) and rub a bit of WD40 on the new bayonette to help it slide on. But that was the fronts...

I only removed and cleaned the rear with water and a paper clip, so don't know much about prices or part numbers.

I'm sure fatty will hook you up with the part number and details.

So nice to have the correct spray pattern again though!

Cheers fellas. I tried cleaning the old one with vinegar a couple of weeks ago and it worked for a couple of days but has now stopped working again so I guess a new one is in order. Four years of hard water abuse has left it's mark

I assume they clip in from underneath?

Nope, they pop in from the top. I just pulled them off by hand. You pull the nozzle end up first and they pop out.

If you struggle I guess you could lever them out with a screwdriver, but you'd mark the scuttle cover thing probably.

Make sure you get the right one, they changed the design part way through on the Mk1. I know because i've got the wrong one here and the dealer swore it was right and said i would have to take the car in to check.

Can I have it? :D

Can I have it? :D

I don't know if it will fit as i said it don't fit mine but i checked some taxi's round here and it was the same as some of them.

The part number for the front water jets is 3B0955985. Exactly the same as a Golf or Passat as I ended up going to VW(nearer to me) . Strange as it cost me 4.71 for both.

Yep that's the same part number I have.

I paid £3.73 + vat for the pair from Skoda, just checked.

Did someone move this thread or am I going mental?!!
