octy rims with 50 profile on

Featured Replies

Could anyone tell me if i can run my octy rims with 205/50/R17 tyre, without any rubbing issues?

Cheers Marty

Yeah that's fine - it's what I've got on mine...

Sorry, didn't read the section. I have that size and profile on mine and it's fine... but mine is an Octavia so I guess that's different.

didn't read the section!!

I haven't had any experience in changing the wheels on a Fabia but I'm also looking to change mine at the mo. Most people seem to run 205/40/17 so that the rolling diameter is close to the original wheel and tyre. I can tell you that your speedo will be out by 7.78% though, which is not good.

Oh not very good, dnt wana change the tyres because there nearly new, anyone know if they fit?

Do 40's put the speedo out and if so (maybe a dumb question) does it + or - the reading?

Just to let you know they don't fit, rub on full lock on the front, and one catches the liner on rear. My proxies are now ordered :D
