Wheel problem

Featured Replies

My front wheels seem to be going a yelloe/brown colour in between the spokes. The car get's washed at least once a week so i wouldn't have thought it was baked on brake dust. And ive never used a acidic wheel cleaner on them. They spoil the appearance ofthe car at the moment. Would a claybar remove this??

Here's a pic, camera is crap so you might not be able to see it.

A clay bar might remove the marks. Is it tar on the wheel?

Have you tried WD40 to dissolve the marks?

Failing that a good product like P21S Wheel cleaner (non acidic) would do the trick, followed by some good wheel sealant to prevent the marks coming back.

It's not tar, it doesn't feel rough either. I'l have to take them off and give them a good sorting out.

Try some alloy acid on it.

Works wonders.

Give it a couple of minutes then take a cloth or somthing to it.

Should come off.

Few things you can try:

Clay;

Megs Wheel Brightner;

AS Tardis

Wouldn't do a detail without them in my kit but I would suggest you remove the wheels to get better access to them to work the effected area as it will take some time to remove such stains.......:(
