Hi guys,im thinking of buying a karcher but the detergent that karcher supply is it any good?

Do i have to use karchers detergent or am i able to use any car shampoo in the machine

I think their detergant is ok, but there is alot better out there, and you can use any detergant, they should all be about the same consistancy.

This seems to be a good foam, but i haven't used it myslef.

my karcher i used the karcher detergent when i was stripping the wax (leave it on car and go and make a cup of tea) or if the car was caked a quick squirt over with it and then wash off after a few minutes. if just a normal week of driving i would put a cap full of AG in it and fill up with water. Can use any afaik and should cause you any problems.

You can use any shampoo or wash solution in the detergent supply but you may find cheaper, better value for money Pressure Washer's on the market.........

I got a Karcher K2.14 from argos £58 and very good it is to.......small (so it doen't take up too much space in the house) and quite powerful plus it will accept all the or most of the karcher accessories
