I will shortly be offering a kit that will allow you to wash and protect your paintwork safely in the Group Buy section, hopefully get it started this week...........:D

Sounds good to me

For me, my essentials are (on a chemical basis only):

Car shampoo

Bumper & trim gel

intensive tar remover

Clay bar & quick clay megs bottle

(soon to receive :D) Collinite 476s

Essentials

Good car shampoo, 2 buckets, a good wash mitt, an all in one like klasse or some SRP or similar plus some colli 476s

After trying a waffle weave microfibre towel for drying I would recommend one of those. Don't bother with the Meg's one though IMO - overpriced and mine's falling apart after only a few machine washes. Got a Eurow one off ebay and that's the one I'd go for

I got 2 lambswool washmits from one of the detailing online stores and they're great too. Got them from http://www.valetpro.co.uk/ with an 18oz can of Collinite 476s as I think it worked out cheapest from there with their free delivery. The 18oz can, however, is much bigger than expected. More like a tin of paint than a tin of wax :D

Water..!!!

A 'basic' cleaning kit should consist of 5 things...

Bucket

Water

Fairy Liquid

Old sponge

Small boy.

HTH.

I know it seems a lot of people sound biased towards the 476S as a final stage product, but it really is the best product on the market in terms of durability. I did the 328i when I first got it in August, and now 6 months later its still beading like a good 'un  It also works really well on wheels.
