Got a 97 Celica - might sell it for a vRS !!!

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I currently drive a 97 Celica but am seriously thinking about getting an Octavia vRS.

I joined to get access to the wisdom of the Briskoda Collective :)

So will the 2005 Octavia vRS give me the same kind of awesome driving pleasure my Celica gives me???

Think your asking the question to a *slightly* biased group of people

But welcome to the site :D

If it's a Celica GT4 then probably no :)

But the vRS's are good cars  or if you got a 4x4 Octavia and put a bigger turbo on it you'd have something with similar performance to a GT4 :D

Welcome :)

Hiya.

As said elsewhere, a standard Octy vRS won't match a Celica GT4, but will match a 2WD car (more power, and IME better steering).

Interesting.

I have the 2WD JDM SS-III.

Better steering is a big claim to make...a lowered superstrut Celica is pretty tight :)

But, exactly what I was hoping to hear

Personally I find the steering on most Toyotas pretty numb and uninvolving; although they turn ok there's no feedback.
