hi,can anyone help,my front wipers will not go off till i switch off ign or i switch on the rear one but,switch off the rear one,on comes the front again...i have got to keep using the windscreen/wash to stop the blades from scraping on the glass.has anyone got any idea what this problem is ??...skoda octavia sdi 2002 classic..:confused:

It could be the wiper relay or the stalk.

The wiper relay is the large relay (377) on the relay plate under the dash. Sometimes, just pulling it out and pushing it back cleans the terminals and solves the problems.

If you are unlucky, then it will be the stalk.
