Bulb Upgrade

Featured Replies

I'd like some new halogen bulbs that look like xenons and have a similar output. I've seen osram nightbreakers and phillips Xtreme talked about on here but wasnt sure if they've got the white-blue tint on themlike xenons. Any other recommendations and some piccies would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

phillips blue vision despite there name are as pure as the driven snow... white all the way and bright. Some one before I bought mine did a test i think on hear with one side the normal fit and other the phillips blue vision and they are dead right look good and bright. If you don't do the main beams just do the sidelights if cash is tight, get rid of that bad yellow tint.

James.

I've just changed my main and dipped beams to Osram nightbreakers, they do look very good and hive p[lenty of light over the OEM ones.

I changed the sidelights to philips blue vision, they now look nice and white.

All in all very happy with the result, they still don't look like xenons to those who know what they're talking about.

Seen a few threads stating the Osram nightbreakers don't last very long, on this note I've kept all my original bulbs as spares...for when the inevitible happens.

All the 80%/90% bulbs have a significantly shorter life than the stock bulbs.

The 50% bulbs have a shorter life than stock bulbs

The 30% bulbs are about the same as stock bulbs

You can also buy long life bulbs which last even longer then stock bulbs.

Basically, the more light you want from the same power bulb, the less time it's going to last.
