Loss of power

Featured Replies

Help if anyone can. I am experiencing a lack of power in my octavia 1.9tdi, 2004 model. I can start it up and move off, sometimes low on power, stays at maybe 20 to 30mph for a while and then it will boost into life. I have changed the air mass meter located at air filter housing and have put in new air filter, have redex'd engine through fuel, sometimes on first start up kicks out some smoke.

I am now at a loss, help plse?

Fuel filter change?

Also these have a turbo boost solenoid (don,t know exact name) maybe worth checking.

Also have a fault code checked on it with VAGCOM might help you

We had similar problem which was even worse when towing a trailer - pushbikes were overtaking us on hills. Took it in to main Skoda dealer a few times for them to run diagnostic checks on it and it was always no fault found but perhaps it could be the turbo!!!. We asked them to change the fuel filter and were told that it wasnt necessary till 60k but we said please do it anyway. The problem instantly went away so its maybe worth a try with yours.

The N75 valve.
