Blue flame or milltek?

Featured Replies

is there much diffrence in blue flame and milltek exhausts, in regards to performance, as the milltek exhaust is like £100 more expensive  ive looked it up but not really found a definative answer...

Its all personal opinion, as are a lot of things when it comes to modding a car.

I had a turbo back Blueflame with a 100 cet sports cat on my old modded Octy vRS and could not fault it, and it sailed through the emmisions on the MOT every year.

Others rave about the Miltek, I would always go for the Blueflame, but at the end of the day, you pay the money, so its your choice. HTH

taaaaa, is there a noticible gain once fitted? over the standard exhaust?

Go with the Miltek as Blueflames customer services is not the best,do a quick search for recent examples.

Or go with the APR downpipe/sports cat and Miltek cat back which might work out a little cheaper.

well, my m8 hs offfered me his blueflame for penuts, because he's broke, thats y i was comparing the milltek to the bluefllame, so the customer servces can shove it up there a$$ :D but i understand what your saying, i was just thinking if the blueflame was more restrictiv than the milltek basically?

Its another item to be fitted to add the the others, that "ALL" conrtibute to the end figure, and yes they do help.

Having said that, I ran 238 bhp and 245 lb ft torque on Martlins rollers (Genuine) with an e-bay special cai.

Re the customer service statements, I have always found Nigel at Blueflame to be brilliant and never a problem.

Has the one your mate is giving away got a sport cat with it, or is it just the cat back, as the cat back alone does not really do anything apart from sounding better, its the sports cat that really helps.

I had a full Blueflame w/sports cat on my Octy.

Sounded great (was resonated) nice and quiet when cruising, and gave a little more when you wanted it to.

Would definately buy again if i had to.

No  but i will look now

Had a look but I cant get onto the link on the MK5 forum as I have no user id or password.

Ebay prices are cheaper than their own website prices anyway so with discount it will come in at £248.50 delivered :) not a bad price at all
