GPS Position

Featured Replies

Hi,

Wasn't sure where to post this so put it here, anyway just got myself a GPS system, a simple portable job, it sticks to the windscreen via sucker etc.

Anyway, after trying various positions it is more comfortable for me, for it to be on the right hand side of the windscreen rather than the centre.

Is there any legal info about where you can place a sat nav? Does it have to be in the middle or can it be to the right where I want it, just wondered :)

Jon

There is no specific law, as long as they don't hider your vision!

ok, thats pretty cool, I want it in the lower right of my window, its not in the way and I can still see clearly. In the middle it would cover the air vents, which isn't ideal

there isnt a specific law, but if its in the wipe area of the windscreen wipers and you are involved in an accident then there is a law they can use (and i forgotton what it is now) but its to do with the vision being obscured. best bet is a grill vent holder or stick it to the right out of the way.
