Well Chuffed

Featured Replies

40 year old Moggy 1000 passed yet another MOT today. Nice to see mechanics fighting over who gets to test the old girl  Did get a comment on the big bore straight through stainless exhaust system though :D

Anyway, well happy, as not even an advisory, time for beer or six

Ahhh , bless

Well I should hope she is well looked after giving the job you do

But then a stunning example and a credit to you my dear :clapclap:

I can see why too. Other than the "minilites" and zorst, any other "interesting mods"? I used to know someone who had one with a Rover 3.5l fitted, and did that thing shift!

I stuck with standard engine, but have disc brakes up front, gas dampers all round. Halogen headlights, Mountney steering wheel and a stack of gauges. Also an alternator and a few other bits and bobs. I've seen a couple of SD1 powered Moggies, and a few Fiat Twin Cams as well. JLH do Zetec and Rover K Series Mogs with up to 300BHP, but that's serious money as they upgrade all the suspension including 5 link rear end.

Going from the VRS to the Moggy is wierd, but vice versa is very cool :D

Longer lower rear damper mounts (like turrets but building down rather than cutting the shell to build up [think Incredible Miller Minor]) and tramp bars would be more period than a full 5-link end,
