Central Locking on '01 Fabia

Featured Replies

Hey,

I am wanting to buy a Skoda Fabia, and today looked at one made in 2001. Everything worked on it apart from the central locking, which only worked form the passengers side, and if you tried opeining it form the drivers side it unlocked one door, but opened the drivers window!

Is this common? And will it be expensive to fix? I don't want to buy it and find it will be expensive!

Thanks,

Scott

p.s. Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, this is my first post!

It might be the door barrel is broken. Was it stiff to turn or anything? :)

I have a 2001 (Y) Furby. Shes not central locking however suffers from "cant unlock drivers door" syndrome... I have gotten used to unlocking passenger side and climbing over now.... dunno if that helps you at all?
