I'm Nik, currently got a 2001 Nissan Primera which is... Nice! Shall we say  BUT the old girl is getting on, so in the next 12-18 months she will be moving on, plus my heart yearns for forced induction!

I'm a big Skoda fan (want a Mk2 vRS as my next motor ) I've been converted by my big brother dstev2000 with his L&K Combi and his v/RS hatch.

In a world of bloated, boring cars with no driving dynamics, the Skodas really brought hope to me with their full independent rear suspension, razor sharp handling and general coolness - being different is cool.

Skodas are so much more different, and ergo - cool! Like the dials for instance, so different and quirky - and also I'm a gadget freak so when I found out that the sat nav directions are displayed on the Maxidot (hope i've got that right?) I was like a kid in Hamleys!

So yeah, don't have a Skoda but I can honestly say my next car will be one! Hope I'm still welcome!

All the best - Nik!

Always welcome at briskoda ;)

Hello :)

hi and welcome

Hiya. I love the way you describe a 2001 Primera as "getting on a bit". My Octy's a 2002 car, and, other than a few paint chips, still looks and drives pretty much like new. :D

Thanks for the welcome chaps!

My brother took me out in the vRS for a spirited drive and I hadn't been that excited since a friend took me out in his RX-8 a couple of years ago, just wow!

Primera's got plenty of life in her yet, I guess i'm just one of those kids who wrongly think anything out of warranty, is old -

I've driven a Mk1 Octavia, a 130PD and really loved it. Felt really well built, guessing this is continued as they get older? Was nearly 5 years ago I drove one!

I need boost :p

welcome to briskoda
