Black Magic Furby VRS

Featured Replies

Trying to start as I mean to go on with the new pride and joy. Read the stickies on here which are really useful but I'm confused on a couple of points.

Not sure whether wax or sealant will be better on a black, and either way which product to use. Collinite seems to have a good reputation generally but the sticky seems to say it doesn't give as good a slick, deep finish as selant.

Thinking of giving Black Hole a try under whichever final coat.

Any advice gratefully received.

Collinite has very good durability, you can easily go 2 or 3 months without re-applying. Generally sealants give a longer lasting finish, the wax gives more depth to the shine.

On my black magic VRS I use 1 coat of Chemical Guys 'Wet Mirror Finish' (sealant), 1 coat fo Chemical Guys 'Jetseal 109' (sealant), and then top it up with Dodo Juice 'Blue Velvet' wax. I find using a wax on top of the sealant gives a bit more depth, plus the Blue Velvet is a doddle to apply and great value for money.

I don't suppose I really need 2 types of sealant and I've seen good results with just Wet Mirror Finish with a coat of wax on top.
