Over a year ago someone nicked the aerial from my '04 Fabia VRS. Finally decided to go into the dealers and get a new one, I gave registration they looked it up and got me the aerial. I asked them to check it was same for VRS and they didn't know.

Got it home doesn't fit. Its a simple screw in aerial but the fitting on the roof looks like it needs something bit more complicated! Does anyone know if there is/was a special aerial for the VRS or I am doing something stupid trying to fit it ?

need a good push in at 1st as theres a little lump (anti theft supposedly) that needs to be pushed thru the thread then rest screws in easily..

there are two types of aerials on VAG cars, the simple screw in ones and the ones that have a balled end and need to be forced in first before screwing.

not sure if the vrs came specifically with the latter but i know thats what mines has.

what i am sure of is that the simple screw in aerials will work in either of the bases.
