Amongst other things today, my DIY efforts extended to fitting a sunstrip (with lots of help from my lovely GF!):

Screen is filthy due to squirting soapy water everywhere to clear the glass and allow easier application of the strip. I think it looks pretty good without being too in your face...

The boot install is nearly finished now too :-)

Theres no holding you back with the mods is there!

I'm sure it will add to the 'lowering' effect of your car when you get the Eibachs fitted!

What part of the installation did your grandfather help you with ? supplying the tea? and I'm intrieged by the other things?

Is the strip applied to the outside of the screen?

Yup, to the outside... apply lots of slightly soapy water to the (cleaned) area and then use a squeezee wotsit to work out all the bubles.

Took two of us as it was a bit of pain to get the strip lined up correctly (top of the fab windscreen has quite a major curve to it!) - but in the end it went on ok...

Boot install should be up and running on tuesday evening. Built the false floor today, stuck the carpet onto it, mounted everything and drilled holes for the wires, etc. Tomorrow is adding most of the wires and getting some velcro strips to help keep everything in place (snug fit in boot so not much room for it to wander)
