'vRS standard alloys - possibly sale value?

Featured Replies

Not sure whether to put this in here or "items for sale" but, assuming my mini comps refurb goes according to plan I will have a surplus standard set of vRS alloys in mint condition.

How much can I expect to get if I sell them (on here or ebay), or better to keep them and pass on if I ever sell the car (not likely any time soon). When i say mint condition I mean it, not a single scratch or kerb mark, at all.

£50 a wheel dependant on tyres - thats what i just made for mine with minor kurbing to the fronts

athough i expect the mods to be along shortly to shut this thread down, give u a slap on wrists, and tell you to get a freedom membership!

I'm back, and I'm green :D

Anyhoo, if someone wants set of mint alloys, in a couple weeks I might be in a position to help you out.

Good man! I recently bought a set with tyres for £50 a corner - they were all mint except one which had minor kerb damage.

Stick up a for sale thread they'll go like warm cakes (Spiders go like hot cakes!)

I've got a couple of members who were after mine but missed out; so drop me a PM if you want a headstart.

Mine would be rims only though :o

I was bidding on a set on ebay and they went for £230 in the end, with tyres... they weren't even in that great condition considering!

I'd have delivered mine to you for less than that yeg

but you got a bargain any how :D

I put a max bid of £200 on them - other people put the price up to £230 :)

£50 a corner collected was top money in my opinion but the guy I bought them off was honest as anything with the description and a nice chap too - so was happy! :)

I now have 2 spare vrs alloys hanging around but am keeping them so I can do a wheel rotation policy :D

or incase you forget about the road with a crater in it!

Haha very true - they patched the road the week after, but the pothole returned 3 days later even bigger than before :D

I would keep them as winter wheels, espesh if your going for a pricey new set, dont want the salt getting to them. . .
