Fabia vRS Alarm

Featured Replies

I'm not actually having a problem with the alarm but I wondered if someone could just let me know some general information with the alarm on the vRS.

1. Is it Thatcham Cat 1 alarm or is it the immobiliser (for insurance purposes)

2. Are there internal motion sensors or does it just go off when the doors are opened without the use of the key (my old Rover used to do this). The reason why I ask is that I've had a look around the interior and can't see any of them - usually can see them on the roof liner?

I have used the search function but couldn't find this info if anyone knows of another thread please post.

My car is an '05 if that's important!?!?

Cheers!

i beleave that it has internal motion sensors as it went off when i set it and was in side ****in around

 Cheers!

The alarm and immobilizer are seperate systems and not interlinked.

Yes it has interior monitoring

As far as I know its not thatcham approved.

I asked asked my dealer if it was Thatcham approved and they did not know, I even rang Skoda's own insurance (Zurich) and they did not know ether. So when filling forms on the internet e.g. confused, I just put it as a Factory Fitted Alarm & Immobiliser.

Yes, Thatcham 1

Excellent thanks guys for the replies.

A bit more information - did a bit of research.

According to Thatcham, the Fabia VRS has the following electronic systems in its favour:

Key: Remote and Transponder

Circuits isolated: Software Lock

Special Detection: Ultrasonic and Microwave

Extra Facilities: Central Locking

There is no Inclination.
