110 TDI momentary loss of power

Featured Replies

TDI 1999 220.000 mls owned from new no mods or engine work performed. On 4 occasions in last 3 months sudden loss of all power for 2 secs and glowplug warning light goes on for same period. Occurs when engine has warmed up, twice on inclines twice on flat (?no turbo boosting being used) No starting problems, economy amazing as always (700mls/tank). Only other anomaly is glowplug warning timing OK first thing in morning (light out after a few seconds) but may not extinguish rest of the day unless engine started. Is this a relay 19 problem that seems so common? Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanking all in advance for help

N75 ?

Possible needs modified relay 109?

MAF sensor?

Try cleaning the cable joint in the lift needle sensor cable, close to the diesel pump.

You really need to get the fault codes pulled to be sure.
