and this is the plan:

Proper good wash - clay the hole outside and wax 3 times

Gut the inside - hire a carpet cleaner and do the carpets and seats.

Clean the engine bay - remove all bits that are easy and derust all and grease up all workings.

Remove arch inserts - clean under all the arches

Remove front breaks - try and sort out the ticking from the breaks

Try sort out as meny rattles in side as pos.

I have a few probs too,

First one is the rear wiper jet is not working, the pump is fine but no water. I think I have blown a pipe off as it hasnt worked since the cold spell. can anyone tell me the likely places to look.

Second I have noticed a high pitch noise (like a tv on) and a ticking comming from (I think) the parking sensor speaker. The sensor works fine. When engine is off the noise goes. When ignition is on but engine is off the high pitch noise is there but no ticking. I am thinking that the cabling is wearing thin but were? can anyone tell me were the cabling is near moving parts.

Third There is a bad rattle from the bach seats and shelf area. For this I am going top try remove it all and put locktight on as much as I can when putting it all back. Is it easy to remove all the plastic buts in the back of the car? Will I need to get any plastic rivets fromn skoda or anything thet needs to be replaced when doing this?

Out of interest, does anyone know how much it is for the drivers side door card is new? just the card nothing like the handle or switches.

I also have a rattle from behind the dash around the centre air vents. Does anyone know what it could be? How easy will it be to fix?

One more thing I forgot, Infont of the back wheels is a small extention bit like a mud guard. Mine are all chipped and one is britty broken, Is it all one bit? as in the hole arch liner?cheers

For the rattle near the dash, check the handbrake button.. common apparently.

RE rear wiper jet, the water pipe is just up from the cd changer, you will need to pull back the carpet and you should see it, has just come appart at the join and it should just pop back in.

cheers for the tips mate. Its not the handbreak. sorted that after first 6 month of havin the car from new. just tightened the cable up a bit.

i havnt noticed any water in the boot like but its a stqart cheers.

Also one more thing I forgot to put on.

The little baskit thing in the boot, I accidentally broke the mettal bar off the clips so I need a new one. Anyone got any tips on how to fit a new one? is it simple or will I need a new carpet?

it was funny reading your thread as it sounded like you was talking about my car as i also have the 3 problems you have got. I was told high pitch noise was my reversing sensor speaker in b pillar on its last legs.

u have the same probs as me but not as many!! my basket thing is broke and my washer is not working either, try in the tailgate aswell thats were my first prob was the pipe had come off just before it goes through the motor into the rear wiper mate, mine isnt there again but thats gave me an idea now rather than trace the pipe,

anyway good luck with everything else fella sounds like a plan....

and the rear flaps in front of the back wheels are brittle and are part off the rear wheel arch i think as ur going to be removing urs.. be better to replace them mate but good luck ian

and thats my bike outside my house in benfleet, quite common model j1 zx6r ninja in green, just waiting for the better weather to use it

For the rear washer pump, try taking the pipe off of the connector in the tailgate and get someone else to press the button to squirt it, if water comes out the pipe then the nozzle has probably been blocked in the cold weather, if no water coming out the pipe then you have a blockage in the pipes.

Mine is making that annoying ticking noise behind the vent in the centre of the dash too but apparently you can't remove the vent. I am going to take the sunlight sensor out of mine (the bobble bit in the middle) and see if I can see anything in there that is causing the rattle
