Yep, if you are interested we can do a group buy on Castrol Edge 5w-30 (VW504/507) for £35 for 4ltr, the reatil on this stuff is £45 so thats quite a saving.

All I need is 10 names to join the group buy and I can then activate the discount code to give it to you at £35 for 4ltr.

You can find more info on the oil here Castrol EDGE 5W-30 for modern engines

The oil will be plus carriage and you can find our carriage rate table here Carriage Charges 1ltr = 1kg.

I will leave this group buy open for one week, so if you are interested start a list!

Cheers

Not much of a saving when you add your carriage charge of £6.45 then  :thumbdwn:

It's still a £10 saving, the normal price is excl carriage as well.

This is delivered to your door cheaper than you can buy it anywhere on the high street.

It's a great deal, take it or leave it.

I see on your website that Fuchs Titan GT1 PRO C-3 which also meets 507.00 is available to members for £33.47 for 4 litres.

Why bother with the Castrol?

(next time you do a free carriage offer, I'll buy a few cans of Fuchs oil).

Many people are brand loyal and want Castrol for those that do its a good deal.

We can do one on Fuchs too if there is interest.

OK, what's the best price on the Fuchs PRO C-3?

If people were less bothered about branding and stuck to the required specifications, there would be fewer engine problems.

Agreed, VW507 meets the spec, so the halfords own VW507 will almost certainly be better for the engine than the "uberbrand" oil that isn't VW 507.

The cost on the postage for the castrol brings it above the local motor factors price for the same and well above trade prices, but I might well be interested in the titan depending on the price.

Whats your local motorfactor price for it? Around here its £44.99 for 4ltr.

I will look at prices for the fuchs.

Thanks. A group buy on the cheaper (there are two kinds) Fuchs 507.00 would be useful.

That's the one.

Ok, had a look at the Pro C3 but there is an issue. Firstly we dont have much stock on the shelf and this stuff has to come from germany and there is a three week wait.

So I have done some work on the price of the Fuchs Titan GT1 LLIII which is blended in the UK and a better quality product.

So, if your interested 4ltr of Fuchs Titan GT1 LLIII 1 x 4ltr £29

Cheers

Guy

Sounds like a deal - thanks. I'll place an order with you for this, together with some XTR for my other diesels.

Sticker price is £40.99 for a 4L and trade obviously brings it lower again.

On the Fuchs, how many are in a case (4 * 4L I assume) and what would the postage be on that to mainland UK.

Thanks

OK Put my name down for one 4 litre can of Fuchs GT1 LL III (507.00) and 2 x 5litre cans Fuchs Titan XTR 10W-40 (505.00).

Thanks.

I'm interested in the Fuchs - please just confirm it's the 507 I need for my vRS diesel? I think it is.

How do we order - via your website?

Yep, VW507.00 is the spec you need.

Add your name to the list and we will see if we can get some more people to join.

If not, give me a call to order.

So a total take up of zero, nil, zilch nowt, nuffink, .................. whichever way you look at it, not the most successful group buy I've ever seen ;)

...... could it be the carriage charge I wonder :rubchin:

No disrespect to the OP, but I recently bought 4L of this for £32.50 at a local motor factor. It is also available online and from Ebay at a similar price (e.g. Ebay 220352060958).

Obviously you'd pay a lot more at Halfords etc., but check out your local motor factors first.
