VRS accelleration slows between 3 - 4k?

Featured Replies

I've got an 05 VRS - done 83k, serviced every 10k, so last serviced at 81k. Recently however I've noticed a flat spot between 3 and 4k. The car will rev quickly (when accellerator fully on) all the way up to around 3.5k, then accelleration seems to slow down a bit, then when it gets to 4k it will accellerate more quickly again... is this normal? if not, what are the most likely causes? could it be the MAF sensor?

Thanks

Josh

Could be the MAF.

Try unpluging it and seeing if it runs better, if it does you need a new one.

Look at the VagCom list and see if anyone is near you, and bribe them with a couple of beer vouchers to do a scan for codes.
