Binned the ECS 2v2 KIT

Featured Replies

Today I managed to fit my new front discs and pads on the Octy. It took me ages to source a replacement for the 2v2 rotor, ECS asking £ 580 for a pair of discs, no thankyou.

So i managed too get a complete Kit which uses my Porsche calipers from DaveB of uk-mkiv.

Luck i replaced them when i did as the ECS caliper mounts were a mass of crumbling alloy and one was even snapped.

So now has un-flashy 325mm discs opposed to the ECS 332mm discs.

The pile of old rubbish.

Those calliper brackets are shocking. I'd email those photos to ECS and see how they respond. Not good!

By the way your ball joint looks like it needs replacing too. Looks as if the rubber boot is shot!

Love the callipers

You are very correct, both ball joints are the same. New ones required asap. Yeah the calipers are cool.

This is a cheap brake upgrade. Boxster S rear calipers ~£200 and the mount kit and discs and pads just under £300 delivered. I can get caliper part number details as there are different ones.
