Who is this Kim Collins @QST??

Featured Replies

Firstly, apologies for keeping on asking questions instead of replying to posts but clearly....I don't know anything yet! Here's a case in point. Having only been around here a couple of weeks, the apparant Gods of the Skoda tuning world appear to be Jabbas and having spoken to them I got a very professional and enthusiastic vibe from them, quite reasonable prices too, I thought. Then, yesterday I came across QST (QS Tuning), brilliantly situated, handy for practically everyone (who lives between Croyden and Brighton). Two questions. Are they any good? Why are they so (worryingly) expensive, compared to all the other VAG tuners?

Never heard of them, perhaps they are a Revo or APR agent. I know that revo normally quote their prices exc. vat and jabba normally inc. Perhaps they are listing the other inc. vat.

Personally I have only seen ads of them in Evo, etc...

Web site is here :)

Kim Colins is an MTM agent, very well respected in Germany (mtm), QST have been tuning Audis for donkeys years and have a very good reputation... AFAIK they only offer MTM options which I assume are pricer due to TUV approval (just guessing) ;)

240bhp Same as 225 bhp, with larger turbocharger & modified exhaust manifold

QST are MTM agents, work is well respected and they were one of the first.

Created to look after Audi tuners, and priced as such I feel.

Sorry to be thick - "TUV approval"?

German ministry of transport.

Covers regular MOT type tests , and also saftey testing and approval for any aftermarket parts for cars , which bumps the cost up a lot
