Has anyone split and painted the octavia 2 headlights? Is it possible?

There is a dedicated thread on this topic in the 'Technical Guides' forum - complete with excellent photos and detailed instructions.

Sounds hugely time-consuming however!

I didnt find anything for splitting the Octavia 2 headlight, just the Fabia. So I'll play around with them over the next couple of weeks and see if it can be done. If it can I'll post pics and get back to you.
