My main dealer said that Skoda dont do a metal impellar water pump but they have replaced the original with an improved uprated one !!

Try a motor factor.

Stick with a genuine one IMHO.

In fairness to what Lummox has said it would probably be better should any warranty claim arise if you stick with all genuine parts. The OEM pump so long as it's changed when the belt is due now causes very few issues.

The main dealer that did mine supplied a metal one. Aslo if you get it from the main dealer all parts have a 2 year warranty
