I'm in the process of looking for a decent A3 scanner that isn't too pricey, but I'm finding it really hard to find any at all. There is a cheap Mustek one but the reviews are not very favourable. As there are quite a few IT guys here I thought perhaps somebody could suggest one?

I have always used microtek scanners, but from experience the words cheap and A3 scanner dont go in the same sentence.

HP used to do some decent A3 scanners. But as said not all that cheap. ~£200.

could you get away with an A4 and stitch your scans together with Photoshop or Gimp?

Quick search doesn't bring up much except Mustek for under £500.

I think Fleabay might be your best option.

A3 scanner != cheap. To be fair a £200 scanner that does A3 is a bargain.

You might be cheaper getting an A3 copier that also have scan to PDF/TIFF function if it's in an office and you are looking at replacing any printers/copiers etc
