urgent advice needed please

Featured Replies

i have the car back now with a new alarm siren unit fitted. its just a waiting game now to see if the alarm goes off. i will make sure my keys are near me all the time and will try and make a note of the time and circumstances if it does go off.

Just had another idea Jon, do you have either a mobile phone mast or over head pylons near your house?

Sorry if it's been suggested already I'm to lazy to read back.

no pylons. have a sub station in my garden but its about 75m from the car and there are loads of other cars closer to it. mobile phone mast is at the other side of the village. maybe 1/4 mile away

nevertheless - i dont expect these things to affect a car alarm . been here for 10yrs and not affected any other cars. dont hear loads of car alarms going off in the village !!

How much do they want to charge for diagnostics, a local vag-com is only 20 quid and a new siren £97 ?

Blimey... major bump there :D

If memory serves, he's given up completely on the car now. Haven't heard anything for a while - did it get sold/returned. Did sound like a bit of a Friday afternoon car to be fair :S

Cheers,

Steve

Yes he sold the car to another member on here.

There is another member on here that is just like him though ........ a car on order and (too?) many questions being asked
