Can anyone help?

I am having problems with my 2006 Octavia VRS as the engine oil is creaming! I have checked the water levels and I am not uloosing water (head gasket) and have been advised by the dealer that the breather pipes are fine. Has anyone else had any similar problems.

try the search funtion, can promise you, you will find something, and try oil in water too

Had the same issue with my vRS, diagnosis from the dealer was emulsification caused by water in the oil. Engine had not lost any coolant and power was not effected (at least to my knowledge). Was told that is was common'ish on petrol enginees doing lots of short Jorneys. Was given a good clean out and then a few long trips to clean it all out, and it has sorted the issue.

Could be the head gasket.

Do you do a lot of short drives?

If so have the oil drained and flushed (usually don't bother flushing it) and a new oil filer put in with new oil.

Take the car for a long drive (30 minutes of the engine running after it has reached temperature) and see if you get water in it after that.

If you do you probably have an issue, if you don't it could well just be lots of water that has been left in the oil and never had a change to be boiled off due to a lock of long drives.

Cheers everyone for your responses.

Dealer confirmed it was condensation, too many short journeys!!

Does anyone know if a fully synthetic oil would help or get up to temp quicker?

it should get better as the summer approches, but a good blast once a week should solve it (30 mins to an hour). mine is fine again, but was gewtting bad over the winter period.
