Just upgraded my wheels to 18s, got 225/40 18 tyres on them, just wondering what tyre pressures people are running on this size?? cheers.

36psi on my Octy II vRS with 18" zeniths.

30 psi mate. if you do the 2.1 front and 2.2 rear then the middle wears away first mate.

I go 31 front and 30 rear and so far they seem to be wearing even.

Thats probably a more accurate pressure. Bear in mind that my front end is alot heavier than yours hence the 36psi.

I tend to use 30psi all round on all my cars

Currently im running at 32psi all round as ive been doing a lot of motorway miles and thought it might help with fuel economy a little.

i might drop down a bit and see if theyre any improvement tot he handling.

also rich have a look at the tyres, you might find they have worn the centre out more, does mate the car feel easier o move(less resistance) I did that on the R32 rims I had on and the middles wore out.

I'd stick to standard pressure.

I'd start with standard pressure all round, and keep an eye on the wear, then adjust 2PSI if necessary due to over or underinflation wear in a couple of thousand miles.

Actually, if you're running T1-Rs, just go up 2 PSI now.
