Hopefully some of you guys can help me with accurate information on this. Have got a 1.9tdi dsg estate (BKC engine). Bought a brand new turbo to put on from outside the dealer network - p/n 038 253 010D for a BJB engine. I was advised by someone on here that they were compatible. However when I went to a local dealer for nuts, gaskets etc. he tells me they are not -however parts guy was definetly computer says no type. Would be very grateful if someone could enlighten me.Thanks.

I can't really comment on compatibility however the part number you have (038 253 010 D) is listed for the following VW engines -

BKC

AVQ

BRU

Cheers Stu - it seems this type of turbo is fitted to MkII 1.9tdi (as seen http://briskoda.net/octavia-ii/urgent-advice-needed-think-my-turbos-just-let-go/132188/) but I am wandering has the dsg got a turbo unique to it or are they compatible?
