ASP on IIS6 produces a blank page

I've got an issue at work.

I've got an asp (classic - not .NET) that runs fine on my laptop, but when I put it on a Win2k3 server under IIS6 i only get a blank page returned.

I've done some testing and ASP is allowed, and any .asp file fails.

if I create a html page with static content, it's served ok, but if i rename to .asp, i get a blank page again.

ideas?
