machine buff after wax?

Featured Replies

does anyone use a machine, to buff after polish/wax, or use lambswool pads on a DA for the same, if so, advice please

I personally always remove LSP by hand I have applied with rotary but tend to like using hand for that too.

You can get product removal bonnets for the pads but to make sure you are getting into every corner nothing beats getting your fingers in about it

Depends how easy the LSP is to buff off. I use a rotary on my old Moggy 1000 as the celly paint tends to 'hold' the wax and finishing by hand can be a long haul.

Wash shampoo seems to effect things as well. I use Megs NXT wash, and find AG SRP tends to clump a bit, but it's OK if I use Halfords car wash shampoo. Go figure.

I try to avoid using power tools as much as possible. Less likely to get marring if you work by hand.

I am more of a hands on person also..............:D

When I first had my UDM I did use the buffing bonnets to remove the LSP but found they got clogged up easily and left trials over the panels so I swiiftly ditched them and just have plenty of microfibre cloths to hand now..........:D

It's a hallucinogenic drug, more commonly used in the 1960s but still found in Magic mushrooms and similar.

No wait, that's LSD...I think....

I use my realy old Halfrauds electric buffer for the final polishing process and microfiber cloths for the fiddly bits. Seems to work for me.

Hi there matie, In my opinion, I would always hand buff to remove wax ect, because it is very easy to produce heat when no lubricated.

Your best applying by machine, and removing by hand.

All the best
