Anyone removed the front interior light assembly from their Octavia?

I have had the lense off, removed the two screws and released the front clips but it seems to be held at the back under the panel for the sunroof emergency winder. I couldn't seem to get the cover off either and didn't have the handbook to hand either to find out how to remove the cover correctly.

You're trying to remove the electrical bits, not just replace the bulb?

Correct, the plan is to replace it with the one from a Superb with the red ambient lights that shine down onto the centre console and also rewire the rear courtesy light so that they light up when the doors open.
