Ah... BMW

What a **** ...another nominee for a Darwen award!

Don't you mean Darwin

If that BMW was a child it probably would have been taken into care by now - except in some areas of the country where it would no doubt be subjected to even more abuse before actually being driven over the edge of a cliff

LOL PMFS

I was working down near todmorden and the surrounding areas last year on the mobile phone masts. The roads are some of the worse I have driven on in the UK and that includes those in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

There may well be main roads linking the towns and villages but if you put your route into a satnav they will often take you a more direct route which will often mean driving up and through the hills. Many a time the sat nav was taking me on narrow roads and tracks so had to take a lot of care deciding on how much to trust it.

trick is up there to never put shortest route into your satnav,it will take you across farmers fields on tracks and through little streams and all sorts:rofl:

I totally agree - always put in fastest route, even if it is a bit further - you won't regret it.

Shortest route can be absolute pants, and often takes far longer.

All sat-navs struggle a bit out in the sticks. The software plots routes based on the classification and speed of the roads, but out in the countryside most of the roads will be similar minor A's and B's, and pretty much all NSL 60mph, whether reasonable primary routes, or farm tracks. The driver is still a grade A twonk though.
