215/45/17 --- no problems surely?

Featured Replies

i've done a search but nothing came up for this size, i know the normal sizes are usually 205/50 or 225/45 but 215/45's shouldn't cause any problems should they?

not too worried about the speedo going out a bit as at 70, its already out by about 5/6mph on the standard size.

cheers

Alan

You'll be reducing the outer diameter by 11.5mm. (Wall height reduced by 5.75mm over 205/50's).

I would have thought that would effect things a fair bit.

What's the point?

is there a reason your not going to 225?

If your speedo's already reading 6mph high at 70 (actual ground speed), it will read illegally high on 215/45s.

215/45/17 was standard fit on my last car. Loads of tyres out there for this size. But i'm NOT saying this is standard fit for your car tho purely because i dont know the standard fit.

Try here for the size your after.
