PS3 Monitor

Featured Replies

I'm after a monitor for my PS3 as I keep getting moaned at, being on the TV playing the PS3.

Its going to be used as a computer monitor and PS3 monitor, so it needs VGA and HDMI. (Dont want to used DVI as I dont want to run the sound seperately, but dont mind it having the feature).

The monitor has to be HDCP compliant from my reading to support the PS3 output. I have only ever played my PC on a FULL HD 37 tv.

Now is it worth me getting a FULL HD monitor (1080p) or do I go for something 720p. This will only be a 22 or 24 inch monitor, so Im unsure if its worth paying the extra for FULL HD when its on a small screen ?

Does anyone have any recommendations ?

Just been having a read of the reviews on the dell 24" on the dell site.

Does yours suffer from the fade in sound on no sound ?

It's not got any speakers , which might explain the "no sound" problem :)

I have my PS3 connected to a Sony amp via an optical digital cable so no audio signals are sent out of my HDMI output anyway

Am I right in reading it has a 3.5mm audio out though ?

It shows them on the photos , yes.

Never noticed on mine but I didn't look that hard.

That Dell looks like a decent choice  - I sometimes run mine through a 22" LG over component and get a good standard of picture.

Not till September, apparently :(
