Advice: Quick clean

Featured Replies

Well I should of posted this at the start of winter but never mind. Since I always like any car I have clean, or clean ish depending on weather I wanted some advice.

When I want to just get the mud off (without using a mitt etc) I give it a quick blast with the pressure washer. The soap thing built in doesnt work anymore, not that it was much use in first place, but after blasting it I leave it to dry. (Dont want to rub towels on it since some dirt is still there). BUT it always drys dirty still, argh, its like i never did it in first place.

Sooo to stop it drying dirty, if I buy a foam lance, will this get most of the dirt off and if left to dry, dry without the dirty water lines etc? Not sure ifit would still be sate to dry i with towels though.

Btw its black so doesnt help much.

I know what you mean - I struggled with my car this winter. Clean it on a Sunday, and it was filthy by the time I got to work on Monday morning (although I do an 80 mile commute).

I gave it a regular "non contact" clean which was certainly not perfect but got it 80-85% of the way there.

Foam lance will help - but you will need to rinse after you have foamed it.

Having a good base is important - so try to give it a good waxing just before next winter sets in. It takes a little longer to get dirty, and will clean up better with the pressure washer / foam treatment.

thanks think I may get one soon, every little helps. Although if I throw some clean water over it when done the water will run off i guess instead of just sitting on it after spraying.
