Hi, I'm getting wind noise from the back passenger door of my 54 plate Octavia 2.0tdi when travelling at over 70mph - and my mechanic can't figure out why. Perhaps it's been in a crash, but there's no sign of it - the door seems to fit absolutely flush. Also, a passenger said they could actually feel the wind coming in. What could this be? BTW, I absolutely love this car, which I bought a few months back - value and quality doesn't come any better than this. Also, can you tell me if chipping is a good idea? I'm told I can boost the BHP from 140 to 170 for around £400 and gain better MPG at the same time... Thanks.

If you want to up the power you should consider a Superchips Bluefin. They have a special offer at the moment IIRC (Google is your friend here! )

I think there have been problems with the rear window seals on the hatch model. I believe there was a revision to the design some time back.

If you trawl through the search function it'll probably tell you more.

The noise is caused by poor fitting rear quarter windows the skoda fix is to apply black silicon around the out side of the rear or the outer seal this will sort your problem just wipe off the access silicon!!!
