Aldi Pressure Washer

Featured Replies

You may have just help to solve a problem I've been having ................ my father in-law keeps 'borrowing' mine and on more than one occasion I've gone to the garage to was the car and the fecker ain't returned it :( . Hopefully my timely email will persuade hiim to go and buy one!

Thanks for the heads up

Check out if you have a Wyevale Nurseries locally, they've got about 100 branches

They are doing special price on Karchers atm - I bought a K2900 today, c/w patio scrubber and soft "car brush" reduced from £100 to £80. (Went in to look at sheds, came out with a pressure washer - it figures :) )

TBH I'd stick with Karcher rather than some unknown brand, at least spares and accesories are pretty universally available. Mother-in-law has one of Tescos own brand ones and nothing else fits, and no longer stocked by the.

:woohoo: being waiting for these to come back in. :)

Edit :- I believe the Aldi ones are Karcher, just rebranded older designs.

Yep you're right.

I've had one of these for over 2 years and gets used weekly without missing a beat.

I think Baker21 also has one and he knows way more about detailing than me.

Seems they've put the prices up as they were £80 when I got mine. 3 years warranty so nothing to worry about.

Do they have the same Karcher fitments?

LMAO I've been there and done that 10 to 10 at the door.. I don't know if i should have admitted that.:rotz:

Well I was there a few weeks back picking up a compressor :)

Sure do own one mate and it's a 'no brainer' for buying one, cheap as chips and it is a Karcher unit and with the warranty you won't find a Karcher unit with the same spec cheaper...............

Personally I would spend a little more and get something like this

Nilfisk C110.2-5 CP X-TRA - Nilfisk Domestic Pressure Washers - CleanStore

It comes with a few more attachments and has a alu pump compared to the powercrafts plastic one (assuming its plastic as its made by karcher.) This really helps if you use it with hot water or in the cold weather.

Plus comes with a 2 year warranty which is less than the powercraft but more than karcher.

Just throwing another one into the mix thats not that much (and cheaper if you going for the patio cleaner.)

Fair enough mate but the Water Flow rate (very important), Pressure and Motor returns higher figures with the Powercraft Unit............

People look at pressure washer and seem to hung up on the PSI when it's all about flow rate.

If the PSI is too high it will take your paint off or you'll have to stand further away to clean your car safely. Flow rate is as it sounds, the amount of water passing through the lance.

The Nilfisk looks reasonable but for the extra money and less favourable spec I know what I'd spend my money on. The Powercraft also has a longer hose which at 6m (Nilfisk 5m) is still a little on the short side 8m would be better.

Spot on...........

I sourced a longer hose for the Pressure Washer of 15metres and it's perfect as I just found the standard 6m too short and ended up dragging it around the car..............:(

So how much is the flowrate on the powercraft?

When I was looking I ended up going for the Nilfisk 140 due to the extra hose length, add-ons, flow rate, better motor and better pump. But it was a fair bit more than the powercraft!

Powercraft Flow Rate = 450

Powercraft Motor = 2100

Powercraft Pressure = 130

Nilfisk C110.2-5 CP X-TRA Flow Rate = 440

Nilfisk C110.2-5 CP X-TRA Motor = 1400

<--------------- another Aldi/Powercraft fan!!! Fantastic purchase..... never looked back - thanks Baker21.

Buy the Karcher gun afterwards and all the accessories from the mainstream Karcher range fit no probs!!

I think they do.

No they don't... but it's not as bad as it seems.

It comes with the vario lance and dirt blaster and if you already have a karcher you can just swap the gun (handle) for the one that was on your karcher.

The only bit that is different is the little nobbles on the end of the tools, but once you've changed the Gun it's obviously a karcher gun, so karcher tools.

I randomly just bought one of these power craft washers today from Aldi.

The same 2.1 Kw for £79.99. I don't see how a one off sale day on sun at £89.99 is a bargain if they normally sell at £79.99 the rest of the time

Go and check your local store, they may have some in there now!!!

Matt

If you're after one of these, stores do have them. I popped down earlier to have a nosey and asked if they had them. No fuss just a "yeah we can sort you out with one" and they fetched one from the back. Maybe a particularly friendly store though.
