Furby vRS Brake replacemnt

Recommended Posts

Had the furby serviced recently and it was highlighted that the front brakes were shot to bits and the pads worn. Going to replace them in the next few weeks. Just want some advice.

Fancy uprating the brakes from standard as they do a good job dont think they will handle andmore power. I was looking at the black daimond drilled and grooved with the preditor pads, any used them? My local garage will fit front pads and disks for £55 odd quid, good deal? Or should I have a go myself?

Cheers,

Josh

There was a post about the Black Diamonds a little while back. The search function will help, but I ran a set on my Focus and wasn't really that happy with them. They wore really quickly and seemed to fade a lot earlier than expected.

I'd fit discs and pads myself personally but it depends how confident you are.

You crash and die?

Just make sure you give the brakes a good pump before driving off. This includes rolling it off ramps! Nothing worse than trying to stop and the pedal just going to the floor without doing anything!

I'd have thought you're probably looking at around an hour to do both sides from getting wheels off to back on again. Maybe an hour and a half. And probably a lot quicker if you've done it before and like to show off!
