It seems from the forum that Quantum synta gold 5w40 will do the job.

I had a look on Trade Parts Specialists and they will sell 20ltrs for £58, but they did note that it's not gold any more but the platinum as it's been superseded.

Small snag I'm not in 'the trade' and work as a Paramedic, not sure how I can sign up to purchase from these guys? I could ask the father in law as he has a driving school?

In the trade m8 so i dont have a problem..... Have sent friends to Oxford branch and they have been given same discount, with your job you should be ok

Looking at the registration though, there doesn't seem to be too many options for people obviously not in the trade?

There is a TPS local to me (on the premises of an Audi dealer) & I have used them in the past for numerous genuine VAG items.

They are more than welcome to supply to non trade individuals.

Yep got my 20lts of Quantum Platinum without any hassle at all :p
