What else to replace when fitting springs ?

if im having some lowering springs fitted, what else should i buy to get done at the same time

do the top mounts come as a kit ?.......do i need any new bolts/nuts for anything

When he did mine, Ross suggested new bumpstops, topmounts and bearings. I think the lot came to about £45. Most of the parts are listed on Fabia-vrs.com

6x Skoda hexagon head bolt c/w shoulder M8×26 (Part Number -N101 277 07)

2x Skoda shouldered hex nut self-locking M12×1.5 (Part Number - N101 064 02)

2x Skoda hexagon nut self-locking M12×1.5 (Part Number - N903 213 02)

2x Skoda shouldered hex nut self-locking M10×1.5 (Part Number - N909 081 01)

2x Skoda shouldered hex nut self-locking M10 (Part Number - N102 861 02 )

They're the part codes listed on fabia-vrs.com. I've just ordered them from Skoda, 1st on is the turret/top mount bolts, 2nd and 3rd are the track control rod nut and the hub split nut I think.

The last 2 the Skoda parts dept said weren't available. Can't remember exactly the reason but they're not available any longer. Anyone shed any light on what bits they're to replace? I'm assuming some must be for the rear shock top mounts?

just put some locktite on the bolts apart from the top bolt for the strut, as thats nyloc

Does all this stuff really need replacing if you're dropping your motor? Will the thing fall to bits or break if I were to say.. just fit a set of lowering springs...?

lol no but whilst its apart you may aswell change a few things that will be worn anyway
