Why does my diesel vRS idle at 1000rpm?

Recommended Posts

It usually idles at 800ish rpm but today ran a bit rough and sat at 1000rpm. No dashboard lights but did 60mpg on the way home versus a usual 52!!!!

I've had the replacement pressure sensor and ECU flash and do mainly motorway miles so it shouldn't be the DPF...............or is it?

It sounds like the 26E6 fix is doing its job perfectly. No dash lights = happy days

SWMBOs car was doing the exact same thing the other day, 1k rpm idle and **** rough to boot.

I was about to mention certain x35d badged beemers but you beat me to it.

With the exception of the X6 of course...........

Well,

It wasn't just the DPF regenerating as the CEL came on today and the car ran as rough as!

Skoda assist came out and changed the exhaust pressure sensor. He said it was a common fault and kept a supply in the van!

And you'd already been 26E6'd as it were.

Thats a worry isn't it.

Maybe the DPF saga will continue.................. PD+DPF=FAIL
