Licence plate surround removal

Featured Replies

I bought some pressed plates from dubmeister the other week (there spot on :D) I have tried to fix them on with sticky fixers and they keep popping off at the sides :confuse:

Does anyone know one, if there is anything else to use? or two does the plastic surround the plate fixes too come off? If so ill stick them down and place something heavy on them.

any help would be great!

Cheers

Have you considered some number plate surrounds. These screw into the existing plastic, and then the number plate slides inside them.

I think Dubmeister themselves sell them, and I'm sure I've seen them on Ebay too.

Here are mine (bought in a GB on here) with a Dubmeister plate...

I'd suggest the ones where the bottom hinges down to allow you to slide the plate into position...

No - mine are fully legal

Just out of interest mate, where did you get them done? :)

They are made by Dubmeister - Dubmeister - Where performance meets style!

I got a set on my old Octy a couple of years ago, and they weren't strictly legal as they didnt have the BS number or supplier postcode etc, and there was some debate as to how reflective they were. I never got stopped.

With current legislation, Dubmeister now have a legal version. You can either order direct (but you have to send copies of documentation) or have a look on their website and find one of the "agents" they use around the country. I got mine via Alloy Wheels Suppliers, Car Performance Parts, Parts Fitting Services in Yorkshire, UK who check the documents and pass on the order direct to Dubmeister
