incar ipod mini

Featured Replies

Given time they will come down in price, the (albeit illegal) FM transmitters have almost halved in price since I bought mine.

Do we have enough iPod/Mini owners on here to look into a group buy?

Yup - i use the ipod with fm transmitter and it's a treat.

Also doubles up as transmitter for the gps navigation - piped through the radio ;)

I don't think they're illegal anymore. I saw one for sale in the Apple shop in Nottingham. Certianly an excellent solution IMO. Problem is, it only works with the Series 3 iPod and later and mines a Series 1 :( It's not listed on the online UK Apple store so I don't know!

Thery are illegal under the wireless & telegraph act.

You are transmitting without a license. Thereby illegal.

Yep, its the frequency they use. very few frequencies are available for domestic use, although saying that perhaps they have now allowed very low power transmitions.

They are illegal to use but not to sell - worked towards getting an mp3 player with implemented fm transmitter and we had to state it was illegal to use but not sell.
