As topic states can anyone provide me with the VIN and Engine No. Locations on an octavia (2002) estate (don't know if it differs much from the saloon). Going to look at a vehicle and would like to know where to look in advance!

VIN is usually on/behind the windscreen down where the tax disc normally sits. Also engraved on the suspension turret area on the driver's side IIRC. Engine number will be on the engine {doh} but is usually on the head, on the front.

Check the top of the cambelt cover, about the only place you can see it.
