Fab Vrs-- Light on-glow plug system fault

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Any ideas on this one please? No3 Glow Plug Light system is the code up on my basic code check/reset tool.

Off to the dealers if not an obvious one.

Many thanks

Mac

Have a check of your brake lights, it could be something as simple as 2 blown bulbs or a faulty switch.

Glow plug light came on mine a month ago - in my case was brake light switch not working.

Glow plug light? Brake lights? Switches? Whats the connection?

Seems to be one of the ways that VAG cars without a bulb failure warning system "tell" you you've got a problem with the brake light bulb(s) or pedal mounted brake light switch.

as above my Glow plug light was flashing and it turned out to be my break light switch only a couple of quid from the dealers

Being an ex. Golf owner, (looks like you were too by your user name) I should have known that.

All sorted today at Ashmore Green, Newbury. As usual ---excellent service. No3 Glow plug had gone down. Very rare on these apparently, more common on the Octy 2---Can't wait for that then !!!!
